Formerly known as the Lawrence Township Conservation Foundation, the LTEEF was founded in 1987 to aid township efforts to preserve open space. With that mission largely accomplished, the foundation has turned its attention to support the Lawrence Nature Center and engaging township residents with nature, science, and the local environment.  The Friends of the Lawrence Nature Center group has merged with the LTEEF to further these goals.
